WeLink is looking for an experienced engineer with a background in IT and wireless technologies. This candidate will be responsible for testing next generation equipment and practises to ensure successful rollouts in the WeLink network. A willingness to be in the field, lab and desk is a must as product development has many phases. Additional experience in technical writing and documentation will be ideal as well.
Ultimately, the responsibilities of the wireless engineer will be to ensure our company has an efficient product development cycle that focuses on successful market launch, ease of use and a clean handoff to the field teams.
Handle all day to day tasks with WeLink test networks
Assist with tier 3 network issues. Cowork with Network Engineering, Field Services and R&D teams to resolve issues
Work with Software and Hardware development teams to debug new HW and test in the field
Work with 3rd Party vendors to test and approve new HW platforms
Co-work with field team to develop training material and processes for technicians
Strong independent work ethic to identify problems and drive solutions
Networking background to sufficiently be able to access and configure a variety of network equipment levels and brands
Can communicate clearly with all departments across multiple platforms. Email, slack, ticketing systems and vendor systems.
Can travel up to 25% of the time
