We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic, tenacious Quality Engineer with a track record of unparalleled professionalism, integrity, loyalty, and honesty to join our team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be a corporate resource supporting remote plant locations with the responsibility to ensure all Control Documents are properly executed, updated and archived for future retrieval.
Develop, update and modify Process Control Documents used in facilities throughout the company.
Chair Cross Functional Team Meetings to facilitate the development of Control Documents.
Formulate corporate-wide standard as a starting point for all future Control Documents.
Gather information from remote facilities to incorporate into the corporate standard to capture institutional knowledge.
Has complete ownership of all Control Documents companywide.
Communicates effectively with all stakeholders across the company at all levels.
BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is desired or a combination of education and experience.
Automotive experience in a high volume environment at a Tier 1 and/or 3PL is required.
Required knowledge and experience of ISO9001, ISO14001 and TS16949.
A minimum of 7 years of Quality Engineering experience in an automotive environment.
Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Expert with AIAG Core Tools; APQP/FMEA/SPC/PPAP/MSA.
Experience managing supplier quality, including setting appropriate metrics and remedy supplier concerns to protect the customer.
Knowledge of customer quality processes: GMS BIQ, Chrysler QMS, Ford Q1, TPS, etc.. is a plus.
Continuous Improvement mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Required travel to remote plant locations.
