AeroTEC is looking for experienced Aerospace Structures Engineer with knowledge of both primary & secondary metallic and composite structure and be part of a growing team to support multiple projects;

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Conceptual design of structural & System Installation modification to support Flight Test a/c.
Lead and oversee the technical and design aspects for structures/systems installation.
Communicate and coordinate with technical disciplines to ensure deliverables are on target and meet specified requirements.
Peer drawing checking and the release of engineering documents, as well as day-to-day collaboration to resolve design conflicts and interferences.
Support DMU/Milestones reviews with other groups and customer.
Perform basic stress calculation both FEA and hand calculation to ensure initial concept sizing is optimized and also to support SoF where necessary.
Prepare manufacturing drawings in line with ASME Y14.5 standards using GD&T for manufacturability.
Onsite support working with Maintenance to oversee modification implementation and other flight test activities.
Provide Production MRB support

B.S., degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent.

Five or more years of relevant experience in performing structural design and analysis in Primary and secondary structure (Metallic and composite).
Knowledge in Fuselage and Wing design along with system installation.
Proficiency with CATIA V5 and/or NX CAD to conduct 3D MBD and/or 2D dwg.
Knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria pertinent to the structural design.
Familiarity with FAR Part 23 and Part 25 certification requirements and processes.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to closely coordinate with manufacturing to ensure economic designs

747 Fuselage design (Section’s 41, 42 & 44).
747 Wing Design.
Wing Joint Design.
Composite Fairing Design.
Stress and Loads experience.
