Medication Management Solutions
With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to integrate the newly acquired products into BD operations/manufacturing.
About the role:
As a Staff Engineer in our Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team, you will utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering to solve both novel and complex assignments that require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
Key responsibilities will include:
Pursue complex problems by applying sound engineering principles, utilizing experimental, computational and analytical methods to a range of technical product development challenges for complex electromechanical assemblies.
Knowledge of 3D CAD, Solidworks, and Engineering Change Order Process.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of project and program management principles.
Lead activities such as bench studies, tolerance stack up analysis, design verification, validation, vendor interactions, materials specifications and component specifications.
Guide multi-function teams comprising of QA, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Manufacturing team members by facilitating effective communication and engagement.
Champion design for reliability and design for manufacturing for in-house and strategic-partner developed designs.
Effectively present and communicate analysis to project teams and management, driving decisions and conclusions.
Assist project management in identifying and managing technical risk.
Contribute to schedule development, resource planning, and milestone achievement predictability.
To be successful in this role, you require:
Experience as a leader in a highly-focused team environment on a large development project.
Experience working with external development partners or contract manufacturers.
Proven track-record of new product introduction and transfer or integration.
Sustaining engineering role that has aspects of project management and/or project engineering.
Education and experience required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 10 years related experience, or the equivalent in appropriate education and experience.
PMP Certification, desired.
