Production Systems Engineer

Position Summary: Position will be responsible for support of all manufacturing, production and assembly operations within Systems assembly and Service department. Program elements include developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Processes, Procedures and work instructions. Conducting and developing hands on support with Manufacturing, assembly and testing of Systems projects. Reviews, updates and maintains all work instructions and guidelines for all existing and new processes and products in area of responsibility. Position must understand the mechanical requirements of our product and process methods. Position will provide Support to all Business Units.

Evaluate/diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems
Conduct advanced analysis for mechanical products and components (seals, bearings, Material, etc.) and electronic assisted products
Technical process development, documentation and maintenance
Manufacturing project lead for Systems and Service projects
Support work instruction development, documentation and maintenance
Engineering support on-site (consulting/critical customer matters)
Engineering support in-house (engineering consulting)
Perform other duties as assigned.
Effective technical writing skills, reading of technical drawings
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a production environment or project based and low volume electro-mechanical product mix
Hands on LEAN and Six Sigma methodology experience
ERP Knowledge (SAP, Baan)
Ability to travel up to 10%
Experience with logistics principles and processes a plus
