A critical part of Games Testing, Assurance and Service Integration is the Integrated Testing Lab or ITL. Deloitte has an opportunity to re-imagine the design and execution on the ITL concept and facility - pushing testing from waterfall methods to agile methods, from application SDLC to DevSecOps and from physical co-location to a hybrid of huddles and virtual engagement. This will not happen over night and will have to balance new and old principles to warranty Games success and delivery excellence. The Head of ITL is accountable for all ITL activities and provides governance to promote consistency and quality across the Games. This role also provides the design, planning, execution, and follow up of service integration testing including technology rehearsals, Games simulation, infrastructure testing, disaster recovery testing, and supporting the sporting event with test events.
The Head of ITL also has the opportunity to support the initial design and build of Deloitte's new ITL facility located in Madrid, Spain. This will include working with the internal teams, CTO and also Deloitte's external design firm and architects to build out a world class facility and show case for the Games.
This role reports directly to the Quality Engineering Lead and manages the daily operations of the ITL. This role works closely with internal stakeholders - Programmer Office, Central Operations, Venue Operations, Application Leads, and externally with sporting events and service providers to ensure readiness for non-Critical Operational Periods in terms of people, tools, policies and procedures. During the Critical Operational Period, the Head of ITL will transition critical roles in the sporting event that could include the Quality Duty Manager (DM) position in the TOC to support Games-time operations, Sports Results Leadership, or key services integration roles.

Additional focus areas:
  • Shape testing evolution across Games with a focus on lifecycle management, venue integration and TOC operational support
  • Work with other TOP technology sponsors to enhance the digital experience via a more integrated games execution platform
  • Developing the overall strategy for reducing test effort from Games to Games with focus on AI/ML
  • Integration, training, and partnership with sport/athletic events for sports results including venue results managers, cross sports testers and Swiss Timing interface
  • Stakeholder management across the sporting events and Technology sponsors (i.e., Alibaba, Intel, Panasonic)
