The Beloit Facility Engineer is responsible for the management of all the facility maintenance and structural and material support for all kitting and assembly operations at the facility. The position manages all material requests for kitting and assembly to ensure and material, technical specifications and processes are aligned to deliver to schedule for the business.
The Facility Engineer is also responsible for supporting the entire site and ensuring that all capital projects and equipment are in place and working as planned to support operations. The role also supports the site’s GM to ensure that all routine (PM) and any required facility maintenance is budgeted for and done.
MAIN STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the site’s manufacturing engineering function for the division’s accessory kits and assemblies.
Direct set up of product packaging components and finished goods for retail sale and stock.
Work closely with Accessory Marketing Group to ensure updated BOMs and routing material data
Analyze and review the warehouse configurations for optimal material flow and storage.
Establish and maintain performance standards for productive labor and packaging operations
Manage the facility’s leased equipment and service requirements.
Manage facility inspections, asset list and five-year capital spending plans for the building.
Work closely with the Site Manager and other site Supervisors to ensure the facilities and all equipment are supporting the site’s operational requirements.
Responsible for warehouse maintenance staff and facility upgrades
YOUR KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical disciplines
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a DC or Engineering or Supervision role
Experience working with systems to manage BOMs, Work Orders, PO’s, and Parts and Accessories
Experience with Shop Floor controls, Shop Scheduling, PMs, material flow & efficiency improvements
Expert level with inventory control within a dynamic operational environment
Leadership experience managing direct reports in a factory or warehouse environment.
SAP and/or WMS or ERP experience required. SAP WM /EWM preferred.
Demonstrated capabilities within SPC and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Proficient with MS Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and MS Project/ Smart sheet.
Experience with BOMs, shop schedules and work center management (assembly-Kitting type).
Involvement in improving efficiencies and processes including working safely.
Exposure to LEAN and Project Management, formal tools (Smart-Sheet, Kaizen, etc.)
Experience with using CAD and Visio a plus
Experience working with vendors and service providers, sourcing services, and switching vendors.

This position reporting to the General Manager of the Beloit facility and have a dotted line into the BRP SQE organization.
