What will I be doing?
Work closely with R&D, Engineering, and other teams on new products and processes.
Drive the transfer of new products and processes from innovation stages to commercial production, including managing lab scale-ups and plant trials.
Develop processes for Operations to ensure new products are manufactured predictively and efficiently.
Analyze and optimize processes for small and large-scale production.
Collaborate with process engineers to ensure all products have established process parameters, reduce product variability, improve the overall quality and increase process efficiencies.
Provide expertise and recommendations for troubleshooting process issues
Identify improvement projects to reduce waste, changeovers, and processing times.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
4 years’ experience in process development related to food processing, food industry, or nutraceuticals/pharmaceuticals.
Proven ability to provide timely, accurate, clear and concise communication
Strong organization, prioritization, task management, leadership, interpersonal, team building, problem solving and conflict resolutions skills.
Root cause analysis and solution implementation skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification.
Project management experience.
Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
