Adranos is a company that designs, tests, and produces solid rocket motors utilizing ALITEC, the highest performing solid rocket fuel in the world. ALITEC dramatically increases the range and payload capacity of various launch systems, including missiles, hypersonics, space launch platforms, and various other systems utilizing solid propellant.
Adranos is seeking a Ballistics Engineer to support its rocket motor research, development, and production efforts. This position will join Adranos as a member of the R&D team, focusing on propellant design for next generation solid propulsion systems.
The candidate most suited to this position would have experience designing, modeling, and analyzing solid rocket propellants used in military and/or space launch applications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct grain design and performance analyses for rocket motor test firings
- Evaluate test results, including performance, burning rate, and other relevant data
- Develop, utilize, and continuously improve models to forecast performance characteristics of ALITEC propellant in a variety of platforms
- Develop design methodologies and procedures
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with specifications and fulfillment of contractual obligations
- Develop test plans and technical reviews
- Interface with customers, including making presentations and drafting formal reports
- Perform various other related tasks as required by the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
- 3-5 years of ballistics modeling experience
- Proficient with relevant computer applications, including Solid Performance Program (SPP’12), and Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor’s degree

- MS or PhD in a field related to solid rocket motors
- Ability to work autonomously with limited organizational structure

Pay: $36,826.00 - $128,980.00 per year
