ABOUT THE POSITION:
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for this Junior-Level Remediation Hydrogeologist, Geologist, or Engineer position include:
Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, horizontal directional drilling oversight, construction quality assurance and oversight, geotechnical drilling and sampling, logging rock cores, and remediation system O&M;
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
Preparing permit applications;
Assisting with the design of remediation systems;
Leading field teams on environmental or geotechnical investigations;
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;
Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
Managing tasks and projects; and
Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, client-specific safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Fieldwork: Up to 70%
Overnight travel: Up to 65%

Bachelor’s degree in (geology, hydrogeology, or geosciences, or engineering (environmental or civil preferred). (required)
Advanced degree (MS or PHD) in the same. (preferred)
At least two years of related experience, including conducting and managing field projects involving drilling and well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, permitting, sediment/surface water sampling, construction oversight, landfill inspections/construction, and/or other field techniques. (required)
Prior experience (employment or internship) in environmental consulting. (valuable)
Current certification or ability to obtain certification as a Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania. (required)
Experience managing small projects or tasks of larger projects ($10,000-$50,000 budgets). (preferred)
Experience authoring proposals for small projects or tasks of larger projects ($10,000-$50,000 budgets). (preferred)
Knowledge of regulations related to environmental remediation. (preferred)
Experience with construction work such as plumbing, electrical, structural, geotechnical, or mechanical tasks. (valuable)
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. (required)
