BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. is a fast growing biotech company looking for a manager to lead a team of internal support engineers who play an integral role in the development of cutting-edge life-saving medical devices. The internal support engineering group is responsible for supporting the development of BioFire Diagnostics’ products, as well as the internal use of these products. The manager of this team is expected to gain a deep understanding of BioFire Diagnostics’ products and processes. They will be responsible for leading and directing the work of others, and for building and motivating teams. A wide degree of initiative, creativity, and latitude is expected in this role, as is significant interaction with department directors.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the team
Negotiate timelines, resources, and priorities
Career development planning
Participate in postmarket surveillance efforts
Oversee the product cybersecurity risk management effort
Bachelor's degree in a software engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Results-driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic
Ability to see the big picture while also being detail-oriented
Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience in software development, IT or cybersecurity
