Position Summary

From product concept to production, the Electrical Technician provides technical assistance to engineers by defining and performing tests and analyzing results within our Applied Engineering team.

This position reports to Technical Manager I.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

Non-Exempt

What You’ll Be Doing

Interpreting electronic schematics, assembly drawings, and other design and assembly documents
Assembling prototypes
Assisting in conducting performance tests to resolve performance-related issues
Performing verification tests for functionality and/or quality to ensure product performs to expectations
Accurately documenting test results and records all deviations and modifications from the original design
Collaborating with engineers to identify, define or solve product performance problems
Generating reports based on findings as needed
Able to complete directed tasks within assigned time-frames
Other duties as assigned

Required

Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field
0-2 years of experience
Familiarity with soldering
Experience working with basic hand tools
Familiar with various types of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and experience using Excel to log and communicate data
