You are a software engineer able to design, implement and test software solutions using a variety of architecture and design methodologies. It is important that you have knowledge of general and real-time software development as well as the associated tools and their usage. You have experience designing and developing software in a structured environment. You also have strong interpersonal skills to work with subject matter experts as well as peers on the software development team to create deliverables.
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.
Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Mathematics, or Physics with strong software skills.
5+ years of professional experience in Software Development.
Ability to obtain ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Professional experience with C++, C#, and/or Java.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability and desire to work in a team environment
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Education or experience in calculus and physics.
Experience developing models and simulation.
Prior avionics software development experience.
Experience in an agile development environment.
