Assist in field and office engineering and technical activities by providing CAD drafting, estimating, calculations, material control and other technical duties as assigned.
Assist in CAD drafting for quantifying work, providing record drawings, and estimating.
Interpret design drawings for installation of site specific work.
Assist in estimating functions by performing quantity takeoff, extensions and data input.
Inventory, check, examine and measure materials.
Assist in preparation of documentation records such as daily reports, punch lists, and daily sketches of work completed and other clerical support.
Assist in the research and correction of drawing problems, conflicts, interferences and errors.
Assist in surveying services to ensure work performed is in accordance with design drawing locations, and to collect survey data for analysis.
Assist in surveying practices using a total station, data collector, level and grade rod.
Assist in the uploading and downloading of data using the AutoCad Survey interface.
Assist in providing work control lines and elevations to allow for accurate measurement and correct installation of work.
Assist in checking of as-built conditions to provide a record of work performed.
Assist in topographic and cross-section surveys as required for planning and payment quantities. Provide quantity calculations as required.
Assist in the preparation of documentation of surveying activities.
Maintain condition and adjustment of surveying equipment
Construction Related Duties
Assist in field construction duties including but not limited to:
Act as a runner to collect supplies or deliver equipment
Construction laborer (lay pipe, compact, shovel, rake, broom, seed, etc.)
Assist in setup and use of construction laser equipment (pipe laser and rotating laser).
Assist in commercial/residential building construction as needed
Assist in other misc. duties including concrete forming and pouring, landscaping, hardscaping, paving, conduit installation.
Educational and experience requirements include: 2 years technical engineering/surveying training plus minimum 1 year construction experience. Thorough knowledge of and ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques essential. Ability to read blueprints and transfer this knowledge to field construction. General knowledge and use and/or requirements:
AutoCad 2016 or greater
Total Station, Data Collector
Valid drivers license
Microsoft Office (recommended)
