Big G Electric & Engineering is an industry leader with over 30 years in business. We are a subsidiary of Koniag Energy & Water (KEW) and currently seeking a knowledgeable individual who can assist in troubleshooting process controls, (PLC) programming, and SCADA integration in Wastewater facilities throughout Alaska.
Must be available to work remotely on a rotational basis
A successful candidate will be tasked with:
Programming PLC's, building panels, and creating engineering drawings
Troubleshoot electrical systems in a process facility
Program VFD’s (AB, Aqavar, GE, & Siemens)
Troubleshoot process instrumentation
Develop HMI screens and perform associated configurations of Operator Workstations (OWS), Engineering Workstations (EWS), including setup of Historian Workstations and Report Development.
Must have the ability to use CAD for creation of technical documentation
Must be knowledgeable of work in classified environments
Read and understand scope documentation detailing control system functionality required for the implementation of PLC and DCS architecture design and program development.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technological field and 4 years relevant experience. Bachelor’s Degree can be replaced by relevant experience of ten or more years
Must be able to program PLC's, build panels, engineer drawings and one lines
Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills.
Experience working with Negative Feedback Controls systems is required.
Ability to tune PID controllers & knowledge of tuning methods is a plus.
