PHP Programmer Needed

Integrated Statistics is looking for a full time PHP programmer to work with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC). The Population Dynamics branch needs to develop core infrastructure for its Assessment Data Input Output System (ADIOS), a modular system that will provide a one-stop shop of consistent data for all stock assessments conducted by the NEFSC. Initial ADIOS development started with basic fishery and survey information for groundfish stocks, and the next steps are to incorporate other information and other stocks.

The programmer will use PHP to create a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows the user to request or input data from an Oracle database or an Excel spreadsheet, then manipulate the data, change decisions and/or fill in any holes in the data and then create a new table by year and species.

Skills and Experience

PHP programming experience.
SQL programming experience.
Experience working with GUIs, data, and reports.
The position is full-time with an expected duration of one year. The rate of pay is approximately $35-$45/hr and the position is eligible for the benefits described on the Integrated Statistics website. The programmer is expected to work on-site in Woods Hole, MA. Off site a couple of days/week would work too.
