Create, modify, and test the code for programming projects for Online Banking and Mobile Banking products, associated applications, core conversion and assist development and support staff in resolution of customer issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver expert knowledge and programming for GBS-Credit Union Department product offerings, operating systems, databases, web and mobile applications and utilities to GBS Customers in an efficient and responsive manner.
Provide in-house classroom training on department products for GBS personnel.
Maintain a consistent and dedicated effort to learning and applying updates and enhancements of department products and associated applications.
Suggest and deliver ideas, concepts, strategies and programs that will make GBS a better support and service company.
Provide remote service and diagnostic assistance through modem and web access.
Submit ideas and suggestions for the GBS newsletters to promote company image and improve Customer communications.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures as documented and delivered.
Generate revenue through time and material services and ancillary sales of department products.
Communicate with department staff on all activity on a regular basis.
Keep accurate, timely and thorough documentation.
Meet with management to keep others informed of project status, ongoing projects, opportunities and potential issues which may cause a negative impact to GBS and its Customers.
Develop and maintain a professional relationship with Customers and internal department staff.
Participate as needed in Customer reviews and meetings.
Create documentation for Customers on issue resolution and publish documentation for internal use.
Travel when needed for "Subject Matter Expert" support up-to 25%.
Must work onsite in the Youngtown Office, for Team Collaboration.
Perform other duties as assigned and/or assumes additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements
Good communication skills including verbal, written, interpersonal and listening.
Good organizational and planning skills.
Logical business judgment combined with good decision making skills; analytical skills.
Working knowledge of Progress and operating systems within the department.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Working knowledge of general office equipment.
Periodic travel availability (as required).
Strong Customer and co-worker relationship and rapport skills.
TEAM player attitude and the ability to positively interact with co-workers at all levels of an organization.
3-5 years programming experience in Progress language used for the department or equivalent programming experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Must be able to report to the Youngstown office (onsite position).
