Manager will provide guidance, direction and resources in various design projects to satisfy the production and maintenance departments' needs while maintaining a satisfactory cost-benefit ratio, and complying with safety, environmental and quality standards. Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. Their duty is also to provide technical direction to the engineering team. The position will also be a company-wide resource by working with other facilities to address technical and compliance issues as they occur
Works constructively and communicates well within peers and group leader for the process control department to ensure departmental and plant goals are met in a timely fashion.
Works on complex problems, projects, or tasks under direction of the department leader.
Analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed systems and formulates ideas and procedures to improve and accomplish control tasks.
Provide support and troubleshooting services to all employees at the site.
Works with engineering to design and program logic to accomplish process control changes within the plant.
These assignments includes design of both software control logic and HMI screen display configuration as well as hardware.
Provide installation, troubleshooting and maintenance for all of the DCS and PLC infrastructures at the locations.
Performs work as directed to maintain or expand control networks and logic used to ensure redundancy on control systems for the plant.
Monitor, learn, understand and apply remedies to problems with process control servers and clients.
Responsible for building and maintaining hardware inventory and documentation for areas supported.
Participates in 24/7/365 coverage rotation to support 24/7/365 plant operation.
Bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
Interest and commitment in embarking on a career in process control in a state of the art chemical manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of information technology, personal computers, software, networking and peripheral equipment is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
