ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
Fieldwork such as remediation system operation and maintenance, soil and groundwater sampling, soil and rock logging; geologic mapping; drilling and contractor oversight, under the supervision of an experienced professional;
Well installation, aquifer testing, and groundwater monitoring;
Geologic/hydrogeologic assessments in support of contaminant transport studies;
Use of geostatistical methods to assess hydrogeologic datasets;
Computation methods to analyze aquifer test results;
Chemical and geohydrological data analysis and development of conceptual models;
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
Preparation of maps, cross sections, tables, and figures; and
Preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Training: This position requires OSHA and/or MSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Fieldwork: Up to 50%
Overnight travel: Up to 10%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor s in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or other related sciences. (required)
Advanced degree in hydrogeology or geology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Prior internship or work experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
Experience with specialized science, engineering, or geographical information system (GIS) software. (preferred)
Experience with field work, remediation technology, or contaminant transport. (preferred)
Ability and interest in obtaining professional licensure in the State of California. (required)
Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
