Primary Location United States-Louisiana-Baton Rouge
Responsible for working with operations and functional teams to develop reports and dashboards. This role designs, develops, and implements business intelligence solutions aimed at providing end users with self-service capabilities. It also interfaces with the data warehouse team to transform data needs into technical warehouse designs.
Conducts discussions with business users and analyst to understand reporting requirements and recommend reporting/BI solutions. Designs, develops and implements business intelligence reporting solutions based on user requirements.
Facilitates self-service reporting and ad hoc requests by creating standardized data sets, data models, and framework manager models to be used by end users and analysts.
Develops deep understanding of the data sources and data structures of the company to facilitate data extractions used in analysis and reports.
Provide production support of the reporting and analytic environment including troubleshooting of reports, new user set up, data inquiries, and ad-hoc request.
Collaborates with data warehouse team to help transform data needs into technical data warehouse designs.
Assists manager in creating project plans and timelines, communicating status and progress, and driving solutions to completion.
Performs quality assurance testing on reporting solutions and ad hoc requests.
Creates documentation for reporting solutions.
Complies with company’s change management procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL language, SSIS, or similar ETL tools.
Knowledge of Dimensional Data Modeling.
Excellent business interface skills at all levels of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to easily adapt to fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyze data relationships and relational data models and map data across systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
Three (3+) years’ experience with Enterprise Business Intelligence Tools, IBM Cognos, MS PowerBI, or Tableau.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business or related field
Experience in gathering business requirements and creating functional and technical specifications.
Experience with performing quality assurance of Business Intelligence solutions.
Experience working with home health care data or health care application systems.
Minimum degree of travel (< 20%).
