Job description

Note: This position requires 2-3 months of training in India and will return tot he states to train others.

Moves and computes machine controls to index workpiece and adjust machine for pre-selected operational settings and base reference points
Activates machine start-up switches to polish, grind, lap, hone, debar, shear, or cut workpiece, according to specifications
Studies plan, blueprints, work order, or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, tooling, and to plan operational sequence.
Observes, calibrates and adjusts machine operation equipment to ensure quality production with approved inspection tools
Mounts and positions tools in machine chuck, spindle, or other tool holding device to specifications, using hand tools
Detects and corrects minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed
Inspects or measures workpiece, using precision measuring instruments, such as loupes/magnifying glass, microscope, gauges or micrometres for conformance to specifications.
20 month initial assignment with potential for extended employment

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related field
3+ years' experience in mechanical design in a professional engineering or manufacturing
Thorough understanding of 2 or 3 areas among Superfinishing, Honing, Milling, Lapping, Grinding, Deburring
Impeccable attention to detail
Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
A sound knowledge of materials, metals and engineering design principles
