Criterium-Lalancette & Dudka Engineers (www.criterium-l-d.com) is seeking a Field Engineer to join our growing team in Vermont. We are a well-established engineering firm specializing in comprehensive building inspection services by licensed, Professional Engineers since 1988. We are an industry leader providing commercial and residential pre-purchase building inspections, Property Condition Assessments (PCA’s), Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA’s), and Reserve Studies for Condominium Associations in Vermont and Western New Hampshire.

As a consultant you will be exposed to all aspects of engineering inspection projects in commercial, industrial, residential and public environments. Tasks include:

  • commercial and residential building inspections (structural and mechanical)
  • analysis and preparing reports
  • providing technical advice
  • liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects
  • monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
  • construction monitoring and reporting
  • inspecting properties to check conditions of structure and foundations

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer to work with owners, realtors, builders, designers, and developers. This position offers a combination of field and office work; always different, always interesting. Pay is based on receiving a percentage of the project fee. You may work full or part-time depending on what you desire. Efficient and productive engineers have earned well over $100,000/year. You are in control.

Preferred experience includes:

  • 5 – 10 years’ practical experience as a consultant or engineering professional
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Geotechnical preferred)
  • Construction, Design, or Facilities Management or Architectural Engineering experience
  • Licensed, Professional Engineer in Vermont
  • Demonstrate interest in building construction and solving engineering problems
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and enthusiasm for the work
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to work independently
  • Strong computer skills

Job Types: Full-time, Commission

Salary: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
