We are hiring experienced and entry-Level manufacturing positions (Utility Operators) in State College, PA. API Technologies continues to experience growth, and the need for utility operators is increasing at our State College location. We offer a comfortable work space with seated and standing options available in our climate controlled clean facility. All API employees receive full benefits during their employment. At API Technologies we manufacture elite electronic components used in applications to protect soldiers, explore space, and save lives.

Many of our manufacturing openings will be working in our ceramics department. This is API’s center of excellence for all ceramic processing. In these roles you will play a critical part in manufacturing small ceramic components. The products take weeks in our manufacturing process. Materials are first mixed. Next, the ceramic paste goes through a kiln, and is shaped and machined for its application. It then is inspected, coated, and painted as required. As an employee you play a critical role in ensuring 100% quality products reach our customers. Become an expert in one area or cross train through many areas in this manufacturing process.

We offer 8 hour shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) and 12 hour shifts (day and night). If you are hired in a 12 hour shift position, you will make 10% more money while working 68 less days of the year. These employees will work 12 hour shifts three straight days, then have three days off. This cycle continues throughout the year. An employee who works 12 hour shifts will average 40 hours per week but gain 208 hours of overtime pay during the year because of the calendar format. The employee will also save 3400 miles worth of gas per year (based on a 25 mile daily commute). The increase in net income and additional savings will allow our 12 hour shift employees to receive more days off while earning more money than the standard 8 hour shift.

Top reasons to consider a career at API Technologies:
FULL BENEFITS: Full-time employees at every level receive the same benefit package. This includes PTO, paid holiday, health, dental, vision, 401K, and more.
WORK THAT MATTERS: Our employees do more than manufacture ceramic components, their work goes into mission critical applications that improve the world.
GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES: Much of our work requires unique and elite skill sets. The high level of training we provide to our employees prepares them for future promotions within our company.
ENTRY LEVEL STEAM CAREER: As a high-tech company our employees collaborate with and are trained by engineers and material scientists. Learn new processes and work in these technical fields.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITY: Do you provide ideas to leadership and challenge the status quo? As part of our continuous improvement business system we encourage every employee to share their ideas to build a stronger company.

When you apply to this position your application will be reviewed and you will be considered across all State College manufacturing openings.
