D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C. (D&B), an environmental engineering firm headquartered in Woodbury, New York, is seeking to fill a senior-level hydrogeologist position in the firm’s Environmental Remediation and Multimedia Compliance Division. Candidates must be professionally motivated, experienced in site investigation and remediation, have at least a bachelor’s degree in either geology, water resources or hydrogeology. A master’s degree in one or more of these disciplines would be advantageous. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of recent direct experience with site investigation and remediation projects in New York State and must be able to successfully manage projects with minimal supervision.
D&B i most interested in individuals who have in-depth experience with subsurface investigation projects, brownfield development projects, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Superfund projects, soil management projects in urban environments, petroleum investigation/remediation, groundwater remedial design, sub-slab depressurization system and vapor barrier design, remedial contractor oversight and preparation of plans, specifications and remedial construction estimates. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A professional geologist (PG) license in New York State is advantageous but not essential. 40-hour HAZWOPER with current annual refresher required. Proficient in the use of the groundwater modeling software is recommended.
