You are responsible for bringing engineering domain expertise to lead the effort in helping create and build experiences to allow for digital appointment scheduling for Fidelity clients. You will help improve and streamline how Fidelity’s highly hardworking Financial Consultants, Planners, and Relationship Managers work with our most valuable clients. As a member of the agile squad, you will assist with breaking down sophisticated technical problems into small components which can be delivered over two week increments while helping mentor and coach junior technical resources on the team.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Object Oriented programming, software design and programming fundamentals
Proven track record as a Technical Lead, crafting new solutions and re-platforming legacy applications
Experience or certification in Cloud-based (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) architectures
Desire/ability to learn and implement new technologies
Experience with Agile development methodology
Experience with MicroService pattern & SOA methodology
Experience of consuming and designing RESTful APIs, and good knowledge of standard methodologies in API design.
Understanding of SQL Server, SQL/NoSQL, Transact SQL, Stored Procedures, Indexes and data service development
Exposure to front-end UI technologies like Angular is preferred
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Developer is required
Good understanding of automation (testing, continuous integration/deployment)
Seeing sophisticated challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to solve independently or with others
Dedication to high quality, balanced with rapid pace of delivery – delivering technology changes to end users every two weeks, and as frequent as daily
Ability to work effectively in global teams distributed across geographic locations
