About our Group:
We are part of the US Design Engineering Analysis Team. We provide failure analysis on new products throughout the development and design phase of the products.
About the role - You will:
Perform Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) of Hard Disc Drives (HDD) for new product development.
Identify issues affecting Product Quality and Reliability.
Document all observations and conclusions through images, detailed failure analysis reports, and be able to provide a clear identification of a conclusion.
Interface with members of the EFA team, the Core Team, and Functional Teams providing timely and accurate information regarding your findings.
Engage with subject matter experts to determine root cause analysis of HDD failures.
Work, collaborate, and communicate effectively in a team environment by attending Core Team meetings and FA meetings.
You should possess strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills which require interfacing with subject matter experts.
You will possess critical thinking skills as we work on complex issues.
Your experience includes:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
Ability to apply logic and critical thinking to data analysis with attention to detail.
Ability to use and modify tools and software scripts that provide in-depth failure analysis of disc drives.
Familiarity with power supplies, oscilloscopes, and other electronic equipment related to a electronic lab environment.
Travel is required. 4-6 week intervals, one or more times per year.
