Microchip is seeking an entry level Process Engineer to join the Technology Development team at our Fab 4 manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon. This individual will be actively engaged in process development for Semiconductor IC Manufacturing. Under the mentoring of a senior engineer, the individual will manage process module development, characterization, qualification and integration of the modules into a new process flow.
A successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Solid knowledge in statistics and design of experiments
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Material Science.
Some knowledge of solid-state physics and/or semiconductor manufacturing required.
Internship and/or lab experience preferred.
Critical Physical Requirements:
Able to lift approx. 25lbs, push and pull approx. 60lbs; carry 15lbs; sit 50%; stand 30%; walk 20%; must be able to perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing.
