Responsible for a specific product or group of products from development planning through end of life. Products are custom components used in higher-level assemblies and consist of electro-optic modules, multichip modules, RF components, BGA’s, and hybrids. The successful candidate ensures that products shipped meet specification and quality goals, manages product development builds, and provides sustaining support for these products during normal production. Interfaces internally as a central product resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and reliability. Externally is the customer’s primary technical contact for these products. Formulates and executes long term plans for all product aspects affecting product cost, quality, and performance. Provides cross-functional leadership to address overall product management.
- Provide focal point leadership for resolving manufacturing issues
- Serve as primary contact for customer technical assistance
- Maintain product documentation
- Monitor, analyze, and improve product yields
- Identify and execute opportunities for gross margin improvement
- Lead product modification projects
- Maintain product cost models
- Meet customer and industry standard compliance requirements
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Direct experience with manufacturing operations and familiarity with microelectronic components is important. Project management, communication, and leadership skills are critical. Experience utilizing MS Excel to integrate SQL queries and VBA code to perform data analysis is desired.
- Three years engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. Other related engineering fields will be considered.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Direct experience with Product or Manufacturing Engineering in a microelectronics environment
- Proven leadership
- Clear communication and documentation ability
- Project management experience
- Thorough understanding of component-level microelectronic packaging and manufacturing methods
- Demonstrated experience with problem solving methods, quality tools, and cost analysis
- Working knowledge of military specifications, compliance requirements, and change management
- Excel VBA and SQL experience
