We have a strong international team environment that specializes in serving the marine, locomotive, mining, oil and gas, and power generation large engine (>1000 kW) markets with a wide range of performance, emissions, and mechanical research and development activities.
Objectives of this Role:
Support Large Engine R&D efforts in engine performance and emissions development, mechanical development, engine calibration, certification and audit, and specialty testing.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Communicating with, directing, and coordinating laboratory technical staff.
Must be able to travel, multi-task with different projects, and work independently with a minimal amount of supervision.
Specify laboratory instrumentation and calibration requirements.
Prepare and present data in accordance to project deliverables.
Appropriately task laboratory staff to achieve project deliverables.
Ensure project activities are aligned with Institute and Division safety and quality standards
Engage in project management.
Participate in business development activities including marketing and proposal preparation for existing and new clients.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Requires a Bachelors or a Masters with a 3.00 GPA in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering, other related engineering degrees will be considered.
Shift work required
1-3 years: Demonstrated hands on experience with automotive, agricultural or industrial machinery, along with strong mechanical aptitude and user level knowledge of control systems.
Must possess a strong interest in engines and engine related topics
Must have experience with PC-based presentation, spreadsheet, data processing, and word processing software
Knowledge of computer control and data acquisition or desire to learn
A valid/clear driver's license is required
