Remote work opportunity! Conversa Solutions is a software engineering firm located in Orion Township, Michigan. We specialize in Android software development and mobile integration. We are seeking a Customer Support Engineer to join our growing remote work team. This position is responsible for the quality assurance testing of Android and web-based applications as well as providing support to Conversa's customers. This position plays a key role in the development process by acting as a liaison with customers and offering feedback to software engineers on the functionality and ease-of-use of programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to analyze and troubleshoot product issues / answer support questions.
  • Monitors and resolves customer support tickets and chat messages.
  • Performs product demonstrations for new customers.
  • Writes and maintains automated testing scripts.
  • Assists with manual testing as needed.
  • Write / maintain product guide articles and/or videos.
  • Provides feedback and reports issues to software engineers.
  • Assist with product bug fixes as needed
  • Assist with Pull Request code reviews as needed
  • Assist with new feature UI / UX design
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in web-based and/or Android application quality assurance is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance process.
  • Thorough knowledge of Testing – performance and functional.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, plus strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a small team.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate an existing software, document issues, and suggest improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot tiny errors or inconsistencies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with one or more testing software programs
