Job Summary:
Assists in the definition, development, configuration, and implementation of the process technology tools, workflows, business rules and standardized processes within Windchill and SAP used during product development, data and documentation management, and information access and distribution across the enterprise
Ensure that users are trained and proficient in process technology tools that leverage Enterprise, Engineering and Product information, increase productivity or efficiency, improve quality or consistency of engineering product data information and documentation.
Collaborate with Computer Aided Engineering Processes & Services (CAEPS) customers (i.e. Engineering, Operations, IT, etc.) to ensure that enterprise-wide systems and solutions (e.g. Windchill, SAP) meet or exceed functional and technical requirements.
May act as a knowledge resource and guide for less experienced engineers. May work on processes for new or more complex products.
Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering discipline; Computer Science; or Information Technology
A minimum of 2 to 4 years related experience
Must be able to solve engineering related computer problems when given direction and leadership.
Skills/Competencies include: Design; Manufacturing; Process Engineering; Process Improvement; Process Mapping; Requirements Engineering/Analysis; Software Evaluation; CAD, PLM, ERP Software; Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software
Ability to work independently, receiving technical assistance and guidance on unique or complex problems.
Demonstrates the ability to identify and sort our relevant information.
Demonstrated efficiency in applying design development skills to problem solving.
Ability to influence peers in setting direction on projects with minimal assistance
Able to communicate technical input and opinions.
