About the Opportunity
The National Network Support team has an immediate opening for two Network Associates, reporting to a Data Center Network Manager.
These positions are entry-level positions allowing opportunities to develop conceptual, logical, and physical network engineering designs, that support the infrastructure requirements of varying levels of technical and business application projects. Completes analysis of business requirements, as it relates to technical infrastructure design, and ensure traceability of the design to the business requirements. Assesses testing requirements and prepares testing strategies, as well as preparing implementation and transition plans.
What You Will Do:
Performs resolution of moderately complex hardware and problems affecting data center networks.
Test, debug, document, install, and maintain moderately complex network software/hardware enhancements to support current release levels.
Performs change and problem management using standard tools following FRIT change management policies and procedures for software/hardware propagation to other platforms and/or environments. Ensures conformance with existing system capability.
Participates in evaluating design strategies. Identifies potential design problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
Utilizes available tools for automation of manual processes.
Interprets technical standards to apply programming and design techniques.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
General knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in Data Center networking. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
Strong oral and written communication skills, and attention to details are required. Acts as a team player, is cooperative and encourages collaboration.
The individual is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to their function’s risk management.
Works under close supervision with frequent guidance and checks or follows standard practices in performance or routine work; refers questions that do not fall within established methods and procedures to more experienced employees.
Working Conditions: Will require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Physical Demands: Requires some degree of sitting (for prolonged periods of time), may at times require carrying or moving more than 20 lbs.
Hours of Work: May require extended work hours. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary. May be subject to on-call and call back as needed. May be exposed to moderate noise from equipment.
HS Diploma Required / Bachelor's Degree in STEM preferred with 0 to 3+ years of relevant work experience.
