Dewberry is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager with 10+ years of experience to work in our Mechanicsburg, PA office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical pursuits and be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges and a variety of transportation related structures. The candidate will perform geotechnical field reconnaissance, prepare and administer boring contracts, perform geotechnical calculations, and prepare Geotechnical and Foundation Recommendation Reports. The candidate will also be involved in the development of proposals, contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services.

Responsibilities
Prepares or oversees the geotechnical related design for transportation projects including structure foundation recommendations and slope stability.
Provides technical guidance and oversees the geotechnical engineering analyses and evaluations for bridge foundation designs.
Prepares or oversees the development of Subsurface Exploration Planning Submissions, Foundation Recommendation Reports and other geotechnical related reports.
Coordinates with bridge structural designers and Project Managers.
Prepares and/or oversees the development of schedules and budget requirements.
Required Skills & Required Experience
BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred)
10+ years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission
Experience in the use of PennDOT design specifications and AASHTO
Current PE license in Pennsylvania
Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
Proficiency in MS Office software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills and the willingness to work in a team environment
Proficient in the use of LPile, GRLweap, DRIVEN, SLIDE and gINT.
Experience with structure related foundation design for transportation projects including:
Bridges
Retaining Walls
Culverts
Reinforced Soil Slopes
Temporary Shoring
Sign Structures
Contract Plans
Engineer’s Estimates
Construction Specifications
Shop Drawing Review
Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
