This position will complete capital projects and also provide technical support to assigned production areas of the plant.
Develop and prepare drawings (with outside assistance as needed) such as PID's, PFD's, mechanical, Electrical, instrumentation and Civil packages for projects to be able to successfully complete projects
Prepare costs estimates for assigned projects while working with other engineering disciplines to complete a detailed construction estimate to +/- 10% accuracy.
Prepare bid packages, create project time lines and construction schedules to be able to inform management of the status of current projects.
Lead the development of improved work processes and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Support and challenge the units to improve performance, develop the appropriate methodologies and ensure a rigorous monitoring of the processes
Direct, manage and coordinate plant operations, set priorities and direct resources to meet operational objectives on safety, environmental and production performance
Develop other employees to serve as backup engineer and to be the future engineer of the team.
Implement projects on schedule and within budget.
Participate in process hazard analyses (PHA's), work closely with safety department to ensure site follows local, state and federal standards such as PSM and CFR regulations.
Determine overall yield for his/her assigned areas and work with the building supervisors to optimize yield and minimize manufacturing costs.
Provide engineering and technical support for assigned area of production
Participate in other duties as assigned.

This is a safety sensitive position.
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering degree.
0-3 years of manufacturing engineer experience
Expertise in Project Management and Process Engineering is a plus.
Must be able to understand and give verbal and written forms of communication to all levels of the organization.
Position requires the ability to climb stairs and successfully navigate congested sites without injury.
Position will require lifting up to 50 pounds.
