JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Status: Salary, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Product Engineering Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is a new product to FIAMM in North America and represents an opportunity for growth and evolution into a new phase of our business focus. We are in advanced phase of sourcing with important customer. Therefore, the future of this product (and our business) looks bright! This critical position will be an integral part of the growth and development of this new product.

JOB DUTIES:

· Master the Product:

o Understand all regulatory and customer requirements.

o Understand our product’s strength and opportunities for improvement.

o Drive key improvement initiatives.

o Know and monitor the state of the market and its evolution, trends, size, complexity and emergence of new technologies.

· Technical Promotion of the Product and Proximity to the Customers

o Support Sales and Marketing in the initial push phase of the business

o Seek and maintain regular contact with technical references within the automotive industry.

o Complete technical demonstrations for Engineering and Purchasing Representative from customer base.

· Champion RFQ Process

o Define and maintain cost estimations resulting from RFQ

o Key tasks include following and understanding the specifications of each unique customer request and tracking requirements.

o Participate in online and on-site meetings (travel to EU is required)

· Technical Reference

o Train all internal suppliers (Quality, Engineering, Production, Sales, etc.) on the fit, form and function of the product

o Develop ability to use all tools, internal and external, to develop profiles that meet specific customer requests/demands.

o Provide detailed feedback to improve tuning in customer applications.

o Be point of contact for all customer technical requests for assistance.

o Manage all entities equipped with an anechoic chamber vehicles.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

BSME with a major in Electrical Engineering.

Technical knowledge of Sound (DSP) and CAN bus knowledge is a plus.

Most importantly a demonstrated willingness to learn and technically develop a new project is required. Working to effectively motivate others to learn and support our new future products is also a must!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,052.05 - $127,665.41 per year
