JOB TITLE: Engineer
POSITION REPORTS TO: Engineer Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the planning, tracking, and administration of all FLS projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Analyzes product specifications and requirements to determine designs
Directs the preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics
Complies and analyzes operational, test and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products
Plans and develops experimental test programs
Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
Maintain a log of product Lines
Maintain a project book containing the documentation directed by management
Supports the preparation of quotations as required
Responsible to support Department Quality System and follow any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.
Minimum 5-year experience in engineering and project management.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
SolidWorks a must.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School education or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in engineering desired or 3-5 years related experience and/or training in plastics or life sciences.
