The Systems Concepts and Requirements IPT of the National Team is seeking individuals who are creative and think-out-of-the-box to perform end-to-end modeling & simulation development and performance analysis within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area. The selected individual will perform in a team environment to support development of performance concepts and requirements for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) in a model based systems engineering environment. Individual will also support development, updates, and benchmarking/anchoring of BMDS M&S tools to support system analysis tasks. Individual will support technical meetings with government and industry subject matter experts to analyze and formulate performance and functional requirements for system-of-system level specifications. Individual will work in a cross-discipline product team and routinely interface with National Team and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks. The individual will support documentation of analysis results in reports and briefings for critique and review by the Missile Defense Agency Systems Engineering Team (MDSET) and other Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives representing sensors, weapons, and C2. Superior performance in this position may lead to assignments of greater scope and responsibility. This position is in Huntsville, AL. Secret clearance required.

Candidate must demonstrate domain experience in sensors, sensor resource management and related communications, or interceptors. Individual must have a technical background in modeling and simulation using a high level programming language such as MATLAB, Python, FORTRAN, or similar language environment. Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically to develop and capture concepts in technical papers, presentations, and discussions. Individual must possess good oral and written communication skills. Capable of working in focused teams as an independent individual contributor.
Experience in performing systems engineering and developing system-of-systems specifications. Experience in modeling performance of systems within an integrated air and missile (IAMC) context is advantageous.
