Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, as Maintenance Millwright, you will:
Ensure the safe and effective installation, modification, and replacement of machinery and parts while ensuring appropriate and timely repair of production equipment.
Accurately read and interpret blueprints and work layouts.
Collaborate with mechanics, technicians, and engineers.
Maintain machine shop equipment, supplies, and a spare parts inventory.
Ensure that the necessary paperwork such as daily work time sheets and callback reports are complete and accurate.
Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.
Interact with all levels of the operation in support of the company’s TQI program.
Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
What the successful candidate will bring:
Grade 12 (or higher) education or equivalent with Red Seal Certified Journeyman Millwright and 2 + years of industry experience. Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered
Demonstrated knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic instruments.
Dual ticket an asset and will be considered for increased compensation.
Exceptional trouble shooting skills with the ability to implement solutions for equipment problems.
Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to complete multiple projects according to deadlines.
Proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the company.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry work health and safety regulations.
Able to be on call 24 hours on a rotational basis and report for duty within a reasonable time limit if called back to work
Able to Work during scheduled shutdowns, shift work, and, when necessary, overtime hours to accommodate scheduled maintenance of equipment.
