Job Description:
Job Description Summary

Assists with the completion of engineering projects to a mend business development to include existing and new client development, proposal development, and managing portfolio of projects, including project finances.

Successful candidate will work with clients in package material science areas including:

Cost saving through material reduction and other product changes
New products
Reducing carbon footprint
Quality improvements

Some key technologies the teams will analyze include:
Filling and capping
Labeling
Cartoning
Palletizing

Package material cross-functional teams will:
Commercialize products through executing the stage gate process
Create product and material specifications
Develop trial protocols
Schedule and execute trials at production sites to prove concepts
Deliver final trial results to client leaders
W riting and submitting proposals,
Expanding client base,
Manage project finances (budgeting and forecasting)

Requirements:
Project management skills
P ackaging commercialization
Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsible for project documentation, including client presentations, project trial protocols and reports.
Lead, train and mentor team of 2-5 packaging engineers.
Work with minimal supervision, self-starter, self-driven
Capability to lift full packages up to 40-50 lbs during trials

Education/Experience:
BS or MS is Package Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or similar technical degree or experience
Prefer 5+ years of industrial package or project engineering experience involving package or packaging related applications
Packaging experience in the food and beverage, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, or other industries

Travel:
30-50% travel will be required to support plant trials and start-up activities, attend Client meetings and training opportunities. Travel in the United States.
