We are seeking a talented Electrical Engineer for our New York, NY office. This is an mid-level position for an eager engineer to influence production of engineering design for a national client base in an nationally recognized global firm in a field designated for expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately & timely.
In accordance with company standards, provides assistance in the preparation of accurate and complete proposals and engineering agreements
Accurately and timely produces electrical design elements consistent with project specifications in accordance with the project hours, scope & parameters.
Produces electrical construction documents appropriate for permitting based on project specifics.
Provides research design options consistent with project requirements.
Produces accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parameters.
Accurately and consistently execute QA/QC process.
Provide project coordination with in house and outside sources.
Provides timely consultation on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes and standards consistent with company quality standards
Actively participates in post design consultation activities and represents the company in client meetings through construction completion
Actively mentors junior engineers and designers
Provide timely billing of projects to accounting department
Follows established work rules, policies and procedures
Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs
Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required, EIT and/or PE preferred
Minimum of 5-8 years experience
Experience to include: Facilities surveys, reports, feasibility studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, construction activity support, owner's engineer for central plant projects.
Expert knowledge of building codes and standards
Knowledge of Engineering drafting standards
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering standards and other trades
Demonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
Knowledge of AutoCad, REVIT and Microsoft Office suite
Good communication skills
