The Cleans team is focused on optimizing Samsung’s cutting edge processes and technologies for large scale production. As part of the Cleans team, you will provide support in problem solving opportunities and intense learning, exposure to multiple toolsets and exotic chemistries for new devices, and state of the art wafer surface preparation.
SAS is focused on being the World’s Best Foundry product supplier.
Rôle et Responsabilités
As a member of the Cleans Process Engineering team, the Process Engineer is responsible for performing activities that maintain the flow of production through Cleans tools while maintaining world class quality as well as developing and owning projects to improve production through capacity, quality, and cost initiatives.
This includes but is not limited to:
troubleshooting basic tool issues and making decisions based on effective data analysis; responding to qualification failures using existing procedures; proposing solutions using existing best known methods and procedures; conducting change point monitoring review and data collection; performing data analysis and making informed decisions based on findings; providing shift support for abnormal events; and implementing operational projects using LEAN principles to improve existing practices and procedures.
As a member of Cleans, having high energy with a focus on safety, quality, and driving proactive continuous improvement is necessary.
Change point management/monitoring.
Data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting.
Perform Daily Trend Monitoring:
Identify WOW (Worst of Worst) tools and BOB (Best of Best) tools. Verify actions taken to drive continuous improvement.
Following and revising Standard Operating Procedures.
Coordination on equipment and process improvement activities.
Open Path Management:
Regularly monitor inventory and open paths.
Feedback to supervisor and area lead(s) to ensure resources are allocated according to factory priorities.
Track and close urgent tool interlocks or faults:
Verify corrective actions taken are affective.
Disposition of hold lots:
Any product flagged for a tool interlock or inline measurement out of spec must be evaluated and dispositioned in a timely manner.
Basic investigation of root cause including material, equipment, and process changes should be performed.
Drive operational improvements in SOPs.
Regularly audit SOPs and OCAPs for completeness and correctness.
Interface with office engineers and fab technicians to evolve procedures.
Apply advanced process control techniques for process optimization
Run experiments and analyze data to improve capacity, tool to tool variation, and defect performance.
Use statistical analysis methods to develop data driven process improvement opportunities.
Work days and hours:
M-F, 1st Shift.
Compétences et Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical), Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics.
2-5 years of experience in semiconductor field or high volume manufacturing facility.
Semiconductor experience with Cleans tools, LAM, DNS, SEMES, TEL, AMAT.
Experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Must be able to follow SOP.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience with 5s and LEAN methodologies.
Reliable and punctual attendance required.
Experience with Samsung systems is a plus but not required (YMS, SPC, Workplace, EES, EMS, SiMax, GPM, SharePoint).
Self-Driven, Highly Motivated Individual.
Familiarity with basic chemical and mechanical engineering principles.
Strong analytical skills/ Data Mining (using MATLAB, JMP, Excel).
FMEA experience, 6 Sigma and Lean certification a plus.
Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, maintenance manuals, and have familiarity with a variety of precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of scripting language (Python, R, VBA, or JSL) preferred.
