Installation Technician I
Position: Installer I
FLSA Status: Hourly
Location: Branch Office
Reports to: Branch Manager/Operations Manager
Pay Rate: Hourly $14.00-$17.50
Primary Purpose and Function
The Installer I Position is an Entry level technician role who has the overall responsibility to learn and assist Level II and Level III technicians with the physical installation, programming and implementation of security projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Perform installation and programming of basic to medium complexity projects per scope of work documents.
Independent installation of basic projects within 9 months.
Independent installation of medium complexity projects within 1.5 years.
Perform supervised installations on medium-complex projects with support from Field support engineers, senior technicians and project managers.
Follow device I/O schedules and drawings for designs.
Follow and/or adapt proper schematic wiring diagrams and termination procedures.
Test operation of system to confirm compliance the scope of work, 100% functionality and customers satisfaction.
Mark up as-built drawings, system documentation and device schedules.
Ensure that systems are installed in a time efficient manner meeting project deadline.
Assist PMs with IT coordination, documentation, and implementation.
Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, avoids damage to property.
Track unused materials to prevent negative slip.
Cleans up debris and work areas.
Respond and complete light service calls as required.
Interface with and update operations manager or project managers with job status and project issues.
On-Call responsibilities after 6 months.
Assist Project managers with system commissioning support and final documentation as needed.
Overnight stay and travel while performing duties at remote job locations and job training when required.

Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Possession of valid state issued driver’s license
Meet State qualifications alarm licensing and electronics security personnel as required.
