The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Engineer is to technically support, implement and improve the Manufacturing department’s processes and procedures. This is achieved by manufacturing product at the highest quality and as efficiently and safely as possible.

What will you do?

Drive manufacturing operations with process improvement projects and daily support of manufacturing processes
Includes working with injection molding presses (both silicone and plastic), secondary equipment and work stations

Quickly analyzing and prioritizing machine issues and errors

Improve machine efficiencies and cost saving initiatives through the completion of WCM Green Belt, Lean methodologies and Six-Sigma projects

Partner with Quality Assurance team and lead corrective action implementation programs

Assist other on-site Engineering Teams Automation & Industrialization, Application Development) in implementing new programs, tooling, projects and capital equipment

Represent reliability/manufacturing services area in cross-functional teams and projects

Exhibit safety awareness and model safe work practices in all aspects of the job
While supporting the continued growth of the Saint-Gobain organization, you will partner with our internal operations teams (Automation & Industrialization Engineers, Application Development Engineers, Technicians, Quality Engineers, Production staff) as well as our Customers Service, Pricing and Administrative departments.

Expected travel is ~5%.

We are looking for an individual with a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering, related field or Technical degree, as well as a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Our ideal candidate has technical experience working with complex tooling, record of impactful process improvements, and has 5+ years exposure to a manufacturing environment and Engineering experience.
