The Process Engineer provides engineering expertise in support of the production of carbon composite aircraft brake components as well as the design and development of new or improved products and processes.

Job Core Responsibilities
Conduct and monitor chemical processing and testing of products. Interpret and analyze data, compile results, and prepare reports associated with the manufacture of high tech aerospace ceramic coatings and primers.
Provide Engineering expertise in the improvement of Meggitt products, production equipment and production processes.
Write production control documents such as; SOPs, training guides, forms, instructions.
Assist in the training of production floor workers.
Address day to day production issues in support of Management, Maintenance, and Quality.
Participate in cross-functional teams to perform qualification and validation activities.
Supports activities to enable cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence.
Assist with set-up, testing and calibration of production and lab equipment.
Keep equipment operational by following installation, maintenance, and operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
Adherence to all safety rules. Use of specified PPE as required including appropriate respiratory protection, aprons, coveralls, gloves, face shields, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes, etc. Responsible to work in a safe manner, to handle chemicals in a prescribed manner, dispose of hazardous materials as required.

Job Specifications
Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science or Chemistry.

Years Experience : 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Skills :
Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE and other continuous improvement
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools. Auto CAD.
