Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world’s best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At NIKE, Inc. it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

Nike Manufacturing and Sourcing teams constantly challenge the assumptions about how products are made. They come up with big ideas, test principles and perfect production processes. They work closely with Nike’s hundreds of manufacturing partners across multiple countries to develop new methods of making to create better-performing products with less waste. The Manufacturing and Sourcing organization is looking for dynamic interns to join their teams across a variety of functional areas including AIR Manufacturing Innovation (AIR MI), Footwear Manufacturing, Apparel Manufacturing, and Product Integrity.

MANUFACTURING DESIGN ENGINEER

As our Design Engineering Intern, you will join the team to assist in one or more of the following areas: product design & development, tooling design, and manufacturing of products related to Nike Air. You will be mentored by your design engineering and cross functional teammates and use your 3D design and engineering skills to execute product and tooling designs as dictated by the program(s) to which you are assigned. You’ll use 3D software (almost exclusively SolidWorks), engineering and/or machine design knowledge and ideas, additive manufacturing technology, and hands on experiences to design, refine or modify, and carefully document tooling designs and machine components. Alongside your design engineering teammates, you will work with other engineers (development, process, manufacturing, and quality), the in-house machine shop, and production teams throughout the phases of the program(s) or project(s) to which you are assigned.

MANUFACTURING TOOLING ENGINEER

As our Tooling Engineer intern, you will support the daily work of our in-house Tooling Group. You will help lead the processing strategies for Steel rule die, 3D printing, polishing, and machined components. You will be responsible for projects focused on improving operation and efficiency of tooling fabrication processes; focusing on adding new capabilities to the tooling shop. You will coordinate implementation of software and control upgrades and be a technical resource for tooling shop employees. You will have a thirst for continuously looking for cutting-edge technologies in shop tools, software, and techniques, and bring them in for testing and implementation. You’ll be integral to developing and executing long range plans for our Tooling Organization. In addition, you will assist in utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods to minimize waste and maximize efficiencies.
