As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will analyze business processes and collaborate with the business unit to implement improvements. You will use your creative and innovative mindset to drive changes that positively affect the bottom line of the business while delivering optimum performance to our customers.
Your Lean/Six Sigma background utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, rapid improvement events, kaizen events, 5S, kitting process design and implementation will lead to your success in this role. You will be trusted to execute projects within the manufacturing plant to identify areas of improvement, implement initiatives, develop metrics and progress reporting.
Drive the implementation and sustainment of Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, Kanban, Line Balancing, Process Flow, TPM, OEE, and other lean tools to improve all aspects of the Business
Effectively work with a cross functional team consisting of sourcing, logistics, product management, product engineering, finance, and supply chain leadership
Promotes the adoption of best practices and technology across functional areas
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
5+ years related experience
The ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously that involve diverse equipment, technologies and cross-functional teams primarily within manufacturing operations
Ability to assimilate quickly within a team, build trust and execute beneficial projects which prove financial value
Analytical problem solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data in order to drive improvement
Strong influencing and communication skills; capable of securing management buy-in, sponsorship and investment through strong articulation of business benefits aligned to broader organizational objectives
Self-starter who drives to execute projects on time and within budget while maximizing results
