ASRC Federal is looking for an experienced IT professional to provide batch process scheduling support for USDA OCFO. The work will be conducted during the third (midnight) shift, which start between 10:45 pm and 12:00 am and will end between 7:15 and 8:30 am. The start and end times are flexible, and will be determined by the customer.

This work will be conducted at the National Finance Center (NFC) in New Orleans, LA. Remote work will be allowed until the quarantine for the COVID-19 pandemic ends. Once the quarantine for the pandemic ends, and the government labor is required to return to the office, contract support staff will be expected to attend in person at the New Orleans office.

Qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate three years basic knowledge and experience as an intermediate level scheduler setting up complex end-to-end job schedules across mainframe and mid-tier environments using automated methods with the following software products:
BMC Control products for z/OS.
BMC Control products for Distributed Systems.
Windows operating systems.
Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook

In addition, candidate must have formal training or basic work experience in the following IBM z/OS mainframe utilities and environments:

IBM mainframe utility programs, online/interactive system software such as TSO, ISPF, SDSF, IDMS, DB2, and CICS.
IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
