Research and document current approaches to investment personalization.
Explore areas such as specific client time horizons, liabilities, and return distributions to assist in the development of new approaches to investment personalization.
Apply research to assist with the development of various dynamic models to improve client outcomes.
Progress toward a degree in engineering, math, science, or finance-related field.
Demonstrated interest and exposure to data science or machine learning.
Passion for financial markets and the role technology plays
Familiarity with data science and machine learning techniques

The Team

The PortfolioEngineering team leverages technology and quantitative investment techniques toscale the SAI investment process across both taxable and tax exempt portfolioswith a mix of single and multi-asset class strategies, investing in a range ofsecurities, including stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds. The team manages the platform that providescustomization across over 200,000 portfolios, adjusting optimization settings,analyzing portfolio quality, and trading the portfolios.

The Position

The candidatewill learn and implement our investment management strategies andphilosophy. While our current portfolioconstruction models are state-of-the-art, we believe in constantly innovatingand utilizing new technologies and techniques. A key area of innovation is greater personalization capability through aconnection to the client’s financial plan. The candidate will work closely withour investment team in research & development of investment models toincrease the personalization of our investment solutions. The role is based in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with investment professionals who manage clientportfolios on a daily basis to calibrate the models.

  • Basicunderstanding of finance/accounting metrics and financial planning forindividuals and families
