Provide direct assistance and coordination of non-academic Summer Housing client operations. Assist with supporting contracted overnight conferences, camps, intern programs and events for University Event Services (UES) during the summer season. Assist with contracts and billing process for external clients scheduling summer athletic camps as well as use of spaces owned by the Athletics department throughout the academic year. Coordinate select number of annual summer programs and work in partnership to support summer client housing needs. Provide co-supervision to student conference assistants. Work closely with key campus partners to ensure a smooth experience for clients. Actively engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree in related field and one to three years’ experience to include project and resource coordination, process improvement, contract preparation, financial records maintenance, and demonstrated experience with effective communications required. Effective interpersonal, organizational, communication and analytical skills required. Valid driver’s license and driver’s check required.
Demonstrated experience with coordinating multiple projects and supporting client programs at various stages of development required. Ability to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability, safety, and delivering exceptional value and great experience to clients required.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge of UVM facilities highly desirable. Experience with staff supervision and team development desirable. Experience working within Residential Life, Conference & Events services desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of the position’s frequent use of software systems including scheduling software (ex. Event Management Software (EMS), Conference Programmer (CP)), registration software, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desirable. Knowledge of UVM policies/procedures and systems desirable. An understanding of the student development theory or student affairs background with experience mentoring students desirable. Experience with safety and risk management related issues around minors desirable.
