1 Documentation Reviews:
This activity will involve the assessment of specifications and other documents for various tender opportunities to define the requirement sand US regulatory norms.
2 Requirements Generation:
Use the customer documentation as well as internal requirements to generate a set project requirement for the proposed design.
3 Clause by Clause:
Generate a Clause by Clause document to clearly define position regarding compliance to each customer specific requirement.
4 Technical Specifications:
Generate technical specifications to define the product architecture and requirements and also to support for procurement activities.
5 Evaluate Technical Offers:
Evaluate offers provided by vendors for various subsystems for compliance to requirements, quality, cost and delivery.
6 Technical Narratives
Prepare and review Technical Narratives to be included into the Bid documentation as part of the Technical offer.
Prepare and participate in the standard bid process such as DFQ gates during the bod preparation.
8 Customer Presentation:
Prepare and participate in meetings to present the proposals to the potential customer.
9 Site Visits:
Prepare for and participate in site visits both at potential customer sites and other facilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
1 Well versed with the applicable US Federal and State rail legal requirements and recommendations as well as other bodies such as but not limited to ASME, IEEE, APTA etc. in mechanical and electrical discipline areas.
2 Fluent in English
3 Experienced in the design and requirements for Rail vehicles which fall into the following general product categories:
- Light Rail Vehicles
- Regional and Double Dekker cars
4 Self-motivated and able to work to meet a schedule.
5 Good communication skills to be able to verbally communicate with a team distributed globally.
6 Good writing skills to communicate technical proposals in an effective manner
